Our March meeting was well attended with the usual motley crew attending. Our thoughts were mainly dwelling on the prospective delights of the summer riding season to come. No negative thoughts were entertained and we proceeded on the assumption that summer would indeed come to the UK this year and to Scotland in particular. |

It was noted that other sections have adopted various nicknames or as we used to say when I was younger “by-names”. It did occur to me that perhaps somewhere there is a Mrs Vader who called her child Daft but on reflection I suspect the cult of pseudonyms currently rampaging throughout this club has more to do with the desire to avoid incriminating fellow section members who may or may not have guilty secrets to hide (allegedly).

| Dennis Jackson our industrious social events organiser has produced a cunning plan to invade the Fort William area again this year on the first weekend in September (4-6th) this time reinforced by some of our Dutch friends. The location was agreed to be Inchree lodge which is just round the corner from the Corran Bunkhouse we used last year. After reviewing the accommodation and the facilities available we decided to go ahead and book it although it may not be big enough if all those who have expressed an interest actually come. Unfortunately we were too late to book this venue, so Dennis is on the case and will keep us informed about his endeavours to find an alternative venue. | ||
| Bill Curry (Regalia) had brought along the Scottish Section shirts which we ordered at the annual meal and we were all favourably impressed with the final look and feel of the tee shirts, polo shirts and fleeces. |
